My husband and I wanted to let you know about our home buying experience working with Phillip King and associates at Milend. A couple of years ago we had a house fire at our primary residence. Unfortunately, we had to relocate to a rental property while the insurance company was working with contractors to rebuild our house. During the time the house was being rebuilt, we had another baby while we were at the rental. With 4 kids now living at home, we decided to purchase a home larger than the home being rebuilt to accommodate our family.

One of those options, since we were looking for a larger home, was a Jumbo loan for financing and then doing a 1st and 2nd with only 10% down. We had talked to a few banks before talking with Phillip. None of them had shown us the different ways that we could avoid PMI, or doing a Jumbo loan vs doing a 1st and a 2nd mortgage. We were very impressed with the different options he showed us that we could be qualified for.
Once we started working with Phillip, he also let us know the difference between being pre-qualified vs being pre-approved. It was my understanding this was a big deal, as my husband is self-employed and the owner of our business. It was very important that we get pre-approved vs pre-qualified where other banks had only mentioned getting pre-qualified. We were very thankful to have been able to work with Milend and Phillip.
Through the process of buying the home, Phillip was always there to answer any questions we had and managed to get us approved very fast. With all the hoops that borrowers have to jump through to get approved in today’s lending environment, Phillip definitely exceeded our expectations with his step-by-step process.
